Nursery : Nativity

Fritz is currently 32 months 4 weeks

This week, we still had a thematic week as it's a week before X'mas. We chose Nativity for this week. Fritz was enjoying his week by exploring all about Jesus. He admired the baby J itself.

Nativity
Day 1
We started the week by tracing the letter of Nativity theme. And Fritz successfully made it. He could trace the letter one by one by himself. Great!!

Then, we continued tracing the lines. Again, he could make it nicely though some were out of the trace lines....^^

Next, counting the objects and trace the numbers. He found a little difficulty in tracing the number 4. He still needs more on practice in tracing this numbers. Moreover, he could match the objects to the right numbers though he slipped on the number 2 and 3. ^^




He still wanted to learn and I gave him the odd one out activities. And he finished it quite some time as he made it in silly. Overall, he could do it very nice and very understand the concept.

The last one was guessing which object came out then. He still didn't get the concept but he could match the picture by seeing the objects in the row. So he could easily match with the objects he had to paste.

Day 2
He mostly knows the objects and very eager to learn about it. He loves the baby especially. He called it "baby J"...cool name he made!! ^^

Next, he asked to do this activity. He wanted to match the shadow with its objects. He made it nice, didn't he??

I printed out the mini book for him which mentioned some animals living in the manger with the baby J inside.


The last one for that day was making this activity. He sorted the objects based on the people and animals. He made it successfully though he preferred to paste all the people first then the animals next. ^^

Day 3
In the 3rd day, he chose to do the puzzle first. He took quite some time as usual he made it in silly. He actually knows the rules that he had to paste in sequence numbers from 1 to 10. However, he tried to silly me by putting the 7 after 5 and 6 after 7...and some numbers...though finally he made it nice.

Arranging the baby J from big to small. He loved this pictures so much....

I had another sorting activity again for him. Still he's eager making it. He made it the people first and did the rest on animals sides. That's him....

Day 4
For the 4th day, he made the counting objects and put the peg on its correct number. He made it very nice. He's getting familiar with the numbers and counting the objects.


Craft


As he's very into with the baby J, I asked him to make the manger with the baby J inside. He loves it so much. He even couldn't wait to make it when I was busy doing the preparation. He asked me again and again to do it. Impatient boy!! ^^

Book
I bought him a book about Christmas. It's an activity book actually that he had to paste some stickers based on the story about. The story had written in English and Bahasa. It's about the born of Jesus that he had to stay in a manger.

He asked me again and again to finish all the stickers. Then, he asked me to read it again and again every night as he's very into with the baby J.


It's the project. He had to paste the puppet stickers on the background provided. Of course, he's eager doing it. Great job, boy!

Gross

Now, he's able to jump high (though not high enough ^^). For me, it's a really big improvement for him as he's a little bit late one than his friends.

I put some number foam mat under our bed to avoid him fall down twice. Then, suddenly, he asked me to mention a number and then he jumped to that number. He was so thrilled with it.....

Miscellaneous


He's very diligent to feed up his Lion.Every time he sees some coins, he straightly goes to it and put the coins inside. We really have to be careful to put the coins around. ^^



Fritz is really a helpful boy or we can call him a busy body person or a boy who has huge eagerness in doing something. ^^

Oma wanted to bake a cake that day and Fritz, of course, tried to help her mixing the dough.


We celebrated Mother's Day every 22nd December in Indonesia. During that day, Oma had served onde-onde. This was the first time Fritz tried onde-onde and he liked it.


That day, before I went to the nearest saloon, Fritz asked me to cut his hair. He wanted a new hair style. So, Oma helped to cut his hair. He sat down nicely and was busy to look around his hair. After Oma's done, he asked to see his new hair by looking at the mirror. Whatta boy!!!

Fun


We're having fun at the mall and something happened at that mall.

Nursery : Christmas

Fritz is currently 32 months 3 weeks

Christmas is coming to our lesson this week. Fritz was so excited facing it. He loves the snowman and the X'mas tree so much.....^^

Christmas
Day 1
We started the week by tracing the maze. He's quite able to make it but the maze looked so confusing for him. So, he's not making it very nice. ^^

Then he chose tracing the lines. He'd just made for one paper only then he refused to continue the rest.


In the afternoon after we went home from mall, he asked me to study again. And he chose to match the shadow. He made it correctly and nice.

Still in the afternoon, we continued by making Mr Snowman. He was soooo excited!!

And the last one, he made the number puzzle. His energy was getting off and he's showing a little refusal though he could finally finish all the puzzle by himself.

Day 2
In the second day, he started to make the patterns activity. He's not really eager making it but he tried to complete the task.

However, he's showing his enthusiasm in sequencing the snowman. He made it from small to big and refused to make it from big to small.

Next, he continued his tracing activity. He'd finally made it completely, all the 4 worksheets in a row.

Then, he'd to find the different object but he just made one paper only. That's fine...maybe he'd continue the next day. ^^

Day 3
He sorted between Santa with his helpers and Kids. So far, he could understand the concept and how to sort it. Great!

As we know, he didn't really into at coloring the objects. He'd successfully made 4 trees only. ^^

The rest of different objects activities finally had been made in the 3rd day. He succeeded completely 3 worksheet.

He loves this kind of activity. He loves to peg the cards as well as he counted the objects.

Gross Motor


Fritz is really a helpful boy though sometimes be a busy body person who always insists to help us...^^

That day, he insisted to help Oma who wanted to watering her plants. Fritz saw that Oma was getting to water it, he came out. So, he's watering the plants twice in the morning as well as in the afternoon.....gosh!!

Learning Toys


He's getting great in recognizing the letter. He learns lots from his fave channel, Disney Junior, especially Word World.

He knows mostly the letter now though some times he can't easily remember what letter he held ^^

Miscellaneous


He's so excited decorating the X'mas tree for few minutes. He asked to put the decoration by himself. Then, he's busy with Santa and bells decoration and left me alone decorating the tree....-__-"

When it's done, he really couldn't hide his excitement. He asked me to light it on again and again he couldn't wait anymore....when I said "How about we plug in on your nose, Fritz??"...then he hold his two nostril with his little finger straight after that. He's afraid if it's really true....hahahhahaa........

Fun

His the best station ever every time he goes to Mall Kelapa Gading. He's always sooo excited if he's inside Timezone. I seldom bought a ticket for him to play but that day I bought for 10,000 rupiah. He was soooo happy!!^^

The bad things happened when we decided to go home from MKG. First, Fritz was totally sleepy and refused to walked. He preferred to be carried by me. HuuuuHuuuu....he's getting heavy now....uugh my back!!

Second thing was we couldn't go home as it's raining outside. We waited and waited, finally the rain has stopped. So we could go home by angkot again than bajaj....hahahhaa.....*stingy mom ever*


On Thursday, we went to Phoenix Kids School at Menteng to help Papa in simple Bazaar. Fritz was so excited playing there. He could meet some new friends and very eager to play with them. However, I just felt a little disappointed when the kids couldn't be friendly with Fritz as he's not one of their friends there.

Fritz quite had some fun playing there...he's really enjoyed himself alone....^^



On Saturday, we went to Taman Safari at Puncak. Another field trip for Fritz. He was totally excited as well as tired. More story here....

Nursery : Transportation

Fritz is currently 32 months 2 weeks

This week, we continued our T theme by exploring Transportation theme. He's quite happy knowing that we learned about it.

Vocabulary


He knows mostly the vocab cards except taxi as the taxi in Indonesia is blue in color. So he's a little confusing when he saw the yellow cab. The most fave one was the TOW truck as in Cars, Mater character....

Math


He made it correctly!!

He counted the objects one by one and pointed the right number, then he put the peg on the right one. Great job, Fritz!!



We made the choo choo train numbers. He was so excited when making it though he some times insisted to put the scramble numbers. Finally, we made it nice....^^
Activities


After few days we're off the lesson as I had full days of tutorial class (mid semester exam), Fritz asked me to learn something that day.

So, we started again. We started with matching the shadow. He made it very tidy and nice. He tried to paste the objects right on to the shadow. Perfecto!! ^^


This was his first time learning about occupation an its vehicles. It's quite difficult to explain it to Fritz as he doesn't see some of these kind person around us. However, I really try to explain and help him to make him understand about the job around. He's a cooperative one that he could sit next to me and listen what I told to him.

Tracing Letter


He's getting good in recognizing the letter but he finds a little difficulty in tracing the letter for now. This is my next job to teach him more on tracing the letter.

Tracing Lines


He ever did it before. However, he couldn't make it nicer than today. At that time, he still needed to be helped by me. Now, he's totally confident with himself making it. ^^

Gross Motor


One day in the Tuesday afternoon and I didn't have any class that day, I asked Fritz to go around with his bike. He, of course, was so excited. I really spent my time with him that afternoon.

Fritz now is able to cycle the pedal in the street as it needed extra effort to cycle in the street than at home. He could cycle 3-5 circles, great job, huh? ^^

Miscellaneous

He's crazy with every car in red. When, we spent an evening in Klapa Gading Mall, Fritz saw a very shiny red car. He insisted me to see that car and asked me to take some pose with that car. He's really such an automotive addict boy!!

Fun


On Friday, Fritz had much fun with his Grandparents. Together with his Uncle, they went to somewhere that I didn't remember too...^^

Then, they went to Puri Indah Mall and had their dinner time in Gokana Teppanyaki.

The bonding between Fritz and his Opa, Oma and Uncle are very close. He could go with them without me and I'm very proud of his confident without me aside him.


On Saturday, we spent our weekend by visiting an Open House of Kidea Preschool at Duren Sawit. One of Papa's friend has franchised it. It's a Montessori based school and I love Montessori one....^^
