Preschool : Apples

Fritz is currently 36 months 4 weeks

This week we learnt about Apple related to the letter A. He's quite fun with this week activity, especially in making art and doing simple science.

Apple Theme
Day 1

We still continued our Apple Theme this week. He had to paste the letter based on the apple provided. There were upper and lower letter and he successfully made it though I had extra patient asked him to paste it.

Tracing still great and getting good. He's tracing inside the lines now and making it very neatly and slowly

He loves the maze. He even made it very fast so I hardly grabbed his picture while doing it.

And the last one was choosing the odd picture. He's good with it. ^^

Day 2

Math activity for the 2nd day. He had to count the apples and match it into the correct numbers. He's already great with it and I think I have to give him more than 10 for another challenge to him.

It's really a piece of cake. Actually, I just wanna rewind about the shape, and thankfully he didn't forget at all about the shapes. Good job, boy!!

Science

It's a cool activity! We did a little science this week and it's really very simple. We just cut the apple into two parts then he did some experiment with it. He learned about the skin, flesh, seed, stem and core. Though he didn't really get it, at least we had a fun activity. In the end, he wanted to eat the apple. Thanks for a lady who gave this apple for Fritz. Yeaaahh!!!

Art

We'd like to present our Apple Tree!! LOL

Fritz was so excited when I said that we're gonna have art project. We made an Apple Tree using painting. I drew tree first complete with the apples there and Fritz had to paint with his fingers using the right color in the right path. So far, he still doesn't really understand that he needs to make it nice. Look at his project. LOL

Cooking

Fritz helped Mama to make cupcakes for one of Mama's friends. Fritz loves cupcakes especially the icing sugar on the top of cupcakes.

He helped since the beginning when we made it. He helped me to pour the sugar, flour and some ingredients. He mixed it together. When Oma mixed with a mixer, he's busy licking the melted chocolate.

The last touch was molding the icing sugar into some characters. Fritz, of course, loves the Mickey's one.

Technology

Fritz was busy recently playing in Mama's laptop. He could operate it from turning on it till he goes to his fave webs that Mama's put in one folder. He's really great.

Mama found a new education game again for Fritz. It's Cookies. There's lots of interesting education games based on the age. We can learn as well as play here. Fritz's fave was playing Jumping Monkey. Though he couldn't play it very well, he could gain some score. LOL

Practical Life

He's trying to lock off the button of Opa's shirt. He didn't make it as he slipped it. He still needs more on practice on it. ^^

Yes!! Finally he could go to toilet by himself!!

I just let him to pee by himself in our toilet in Apartment. Then he also flushed by himself. What a big boy now!!

Learning Toys

He did his others car toy blocks again and he did it with help from Papa. This time he made (such like) a tank but the color was yellow and orange. Though he still can't do it by himself, he really tried to paste the little blocks very hard. He still had 9 more car toy blocks again as Papa bought him a dozen of it. LOL

Fritz has new toy, Speller Jr. Actually I wanted to buy this toy long time ago, but I didn't have any opportunity to buy it. So, when we bought a present for the birthday party, I saw this and decided to buy it.

It's really useful for me in teaching him the alphabets. He recognizes the letter very well but he still needs help to concentrate more doing it. He's only finished 2-3 words then he got bored already. ^^

Fun

Fritz rarely got invitation to a birthday party. One's because of he's not schooling and other's because he doesn't seem like having lots of friends. Actually, it's fine for me not having any invitation, as it's not cheap to wrap the presents :) and it's very not me. I don't want Fritz eats too much junk or fast food too.

SO here's his 2nd birthday party attending. One of Papa's besties was celebrating his first year daughter in McD at Kelapa Gading. After Mama's done with tutor class, we rushed to this party at 4 PM. Fritz was so excited and he said for many times that he wanted to shake the b'day girl hand and said happy birthday to her. It's really so sweet. He loves a little one.

He had a nap during our way, so when we arrived, he looked great. He even could enjoy himself in the party. He sat in front and Mama sat in the back looking at him. He's trying to mingle with others and the situation though he looked so awkward. He refused when the mike went to him and tried to avoid it.

The most thrilled for him was when a balloon man could made fancy balloons for the kids. Fritz got a green sword (that he hold) and a purple dragon fly. He couldn't stop looking at Mr Balloon as he's doing silly while making the balloons.

He also enjoyed playing with one of Papa's besties son named Nathan. Both were busy playing in the playground until we're decided to go home. He's really so happy attending the party.

Preschool : Letter A - Apples

Fritz is currently 36 months 3 weeks

This week, we started with new subjects from new and various materials. Fritz started with Letter A again. And the materials were taken mostly from Confessions of a Homeschooler. The rest were from School Sparks and still used from 1+1+1=1 blog, (Carisa and Ladybug)

Letter A
Day 1

We started new material this week. We began the day by tracing the letter A and coloring the objects. Like usual, he always refuses coloring things and no wonder how messy it was..

Next, we continued with tracing various lines. He's getting great in tracing lines. He tried his best to trace in the lines. Good job!

Making patterns by recognizing the letter A. Still needs help when doing the lines, however, he's good in recognizing the upper and lower A.

Day 2
For the next day, he wanted to show it to Papa what he always learns with Mama. So, he asked Papa to see him while he's working. Sooo proudly. LOL

He'd to guess the next patterns. He still needs more practice on it as he's not getting use.

Puzzle time!! He loved it...

Ahhh...it's easy for him, just pasted the apples on the tree. Simple and very fun for him.

Yeaaahh...he's getting good in tracing. He made it very neatly with red marker. Red is his favorite color, "like McQueen, ka-chow".

Day 3

He continued what he made firstly in apartment, tracing letter A again. Though he made not really nice firstly, I asked him to make it nice.

Yeah!! He tried his best to gain his skill in tracing. And here's the result...

Reading a book about the word "Away". He's excited as always. ^^

Math time!!
He had to count the seeds and match with the correct numbers. He did it great!

Day 4
It's new for Fritz and he's quite excited with this. I pasted the letters on the used bottle cap that I washed and cleaned first before it. He could differentiate it between the upper and lower letter.

Ahh....again tracing letter A on the vocabulary paper. He'd made it before but he didn't wanna continue it. SO he'd to finish what he did before.

And the last one, matching the apple shapes. He has recognized all the shapes perfectly. Great!!

Practical Life

Fritz was busy helping Oma drying the clothes during on Mama's working time. Oma sent some pictures for Mama seeing as Mama had to work that morning without seeing Fritz waken up.

Drying clothes are another important things too for our daily life. Fritz really needs this to practice. Good job, Fritz!!

Miscellaneous
It's happened once in a life time seeing a father and son moment like this. Papa was being bathed Fritz one morning day. It's really so precious having this picture.

Preschool : Easter

Fritz is currently 36 months 2 weeks

This week was an Easter week. We focused our activities on Easter theme. Though we didn't have outdoor Easter activity such as looking for eggs hidden etc, we still had great time doing some paper related. :P

The paper was taken from www.overthebigmoon.com
The creativity's idea was taken from my Pinterest.

Easter Theme
Day 1

We started the Easter week with dotting the big letter of E for Easter. He chose this activity by himself and he chose to use my Croyola dot marker.

Next, he continued to do "which one's different?" activity. He did 3 paper and he's doing great!

He's doing the tracing after that. His ability in tracing various lines was totally amazed me. He's eager now to do the tracing in the lines and very neatly.

Then he's trying to improve his skills in scissoring based on the lines. Not really bad though he still need my help and guidance.

And the last one was making some puzzles. He's showing great on it. You rock, boy!!

Day 2
For the second day, we started by showing vocabulary cards to him. He's so eager when seeing the picture. It looked so pretty, didn't it?

Then we continued by pegging the correct letter shown. So far, he's good in recognizing the letter. He even knows the sound of the letter. Good job, kid!!

While making it, he's being interrupted by a sales person outside who referring to wash the car. However, he still could finish it well.

And the last one, he did the sequencing. He's still learning the patterns. It's really challenging for him.

Craft

It's been a long time we didn't have any craft time. As it's still in Easter week, I wanna ask Fritz to make an Easter Feet Bunny.

It's very easy to make and less preparation. Here's the lists:
- a paper plate
- 2 wiggle eyes
- a cotton
- 2 colors of construction paper for the ear and feet based
- 2 pipe cleaner, cut into 3 parts each to be the whiskers
- glue tape and scissors
- a black marker for the mouth

How to do:
1. Trace kid's feet on the color construction paper. Cut it.
2. Paste the feet on the plain construction paper, then cut it into Bunny's ear.
3. Put the glue tape in front of the ear.
4. Paste the eyes, nose and whiskers, add the mouth using marker.

Easy to made!!

Practical Life

He's crazy on macaroni this week. He asked few times to have a chance to play with the macaroni. Then, he's very excited transferring the macaroni in his own way. He said he's baking the macaroni. He pretended as a seller. Really creative imagination!!

Gross Motor

This boy is really showing many improvement in biking. Now, he's cycling by himself and leaving me behind. I really need to run to catch him not to go so fast.

I love the moments when I'm able and free to have an afternoon walk with him. He, of course, loves it too!!

The next day, I put some challenging for Fritz when he asked to bike in the carport. Firstly, he just crashed all the boxes. He didn't get into the rules. Few minutes after that, he'd change his mind and tried to do the challenges from me. And...he did very well. I even put one tin again to make it so challenging for him. Yeaaayyyy!!!
